Hung My Commune (Hung Nguyen) invests 116 billion VND to build New Rural Areas

Implementing the national target program on new rural construction, Hung My commune has had many solutions to successfully implement the new rural target, such as: Mobilizing people to implement land consolidation, improving production capacity; Solidifying internal roads, consolidating irrigation pumping systems; Integrating capital sources to support upgrading criteria for education, transportation, health, cultural institutions, etc.

From 2011 to 2017, the commune mobilized 116 billion VND, of which people contributed over 56 billion VND to implement the criteria. From the 12 criteria achieved in 2015, Hung My commune re-identified its resources and focused its efforts and determination to reach the NTM target by 2017, 1 year ahead of schedule; Hung My people's lives were improved, and the commune's essential infrastructure was significantly enhanced and improved.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Lap - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee and people of Hung My in implementing the NTM in the period of 2011-2017; at the same time, he said that in the coming time, the quality and criteria requirements will be increasingly improved, so from now on, Hung My needs to continue to have a plan to maintain and continue to sustainably improve the quality of the NTM criteria in the new period.

On the occasion of the announcement ceremony, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement to join hands to build new rural areas in Hung My commune in the period of 2011-2017; the Chairman of the Hung Nguyen District People's Committee awarded a prize for reaching the new rural area worth 700 million VND to Hung My commune and awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in building new rural areas in Hung My commune./.
