Water discharge from Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir (Que Phong) from the night of September 20
It is expected that from 7:30 p.m. today, September 20, Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir (Chau Thon Commune, Que Phong District) will operate to discharge water.
This afternoon, September 20, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Urgent Notice No. 217 on the operation and regulation of the Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir.
The notice stated: At 4:30 p.m. on September 20, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received notice No. 2009 from Song Quang Hydropower Joint Stock Company on the operation of the Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir discharge project.
To ensure the safe operation and regulation of water at Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the procedures approved by the Provincial People's Committee and in accordance with the hydrological situation at the project, Song Quang Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to operate and regulate the Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of regulation operation (Expected): 19:30 on September 20, 2024.
Expected discharge: From 30 m3/s to 200 m3/s (including discharge flow through the valve gate, flow through the spillway and power generation flow through the generators) and may vary depending on the amount of water entering the lake.
Discharge end time: Until the end of the flood season.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs the People's Committee of Que Phong district; Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
To notify authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Song Quang Hydropower Plant to carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and people.
