Gasoline price increase from 3pm on August 4

Each liter of gasoline increased by nearly 600 VND, to a maximum of 17,025 VND per liter from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (August 4).

The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance has just announced the adjustment of domestic retail gasoline prices. Accordingly, the price of RON 92 gasoline increased by 599 VND per liter, E5 biofuel by 572 VND per liter. Other types of oil also increased by 264 - 466 VND per liter, kg.

After the price increase, each liter of RON 92 gasoline will not exceed 17,025 VND per liter; E5 gasoline will increase to 16,823 VND per liter; diesel oil will be 13,795 VND per liter...

Along with the increase in selling prices, the operator also increased the expenditure of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for mineral gasoline by 110 VND per liter; E5 gasoline by 90 VND per liter; kerosene by 110 VND per liter and diesel by 70 VND per liter. Only mazut oil does not use the Fund.

Domestic retail gasoline prices increased to a maximum of VND17,025 per liter from 3 p.m. on August 4.

This is the first time in the past four months that the management agency has used the price stabilization tool from the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund to "restrain" the increase in domestic retail prices.

The move to increase domestic gasoline prices is explained by the fact that the average selling price of finished gasoline products in the Singapore market over the past 15 days has been at 61.693 USD per barrel, diesel at 63.289 USD per barrel... This level has increased by about 4 USD per barrel compared to the previous adjustment (July 20).

This is the 15th petrol price adjustment since the beginning of the year, with a total of 8 price increases and 7 price decreases.
