Heartbreaking scene of 4 children orphaned by mother, father seriously ill

In 2010, Mr. Thang married Ms. Cao Thi Thoa (born in 1985). Despite their difficult and hard circumstances, the couple always encouraged each other to work hard, and then their four children were born one after another. Every day, Mr. Thang went to work for hire with his friends, while Ms. Thoa stayed home to take care of the fields and gardens, and worked hard to raise the children.

In 2014, after an illness, Mr. Thang went to the doctor and discovered that he had syringomyelia, a chronic disease of the spinal cord. His family had to borrow money and even sell 25 meters of his spinal cord.²garden land to have money for medical treatment, but it only helped but did not cure. Since then, his right arm and right leg have been numb all the time, he cannot do heavy work, all day he just stays at home, all the burden falls on his wife's small shoulders.

But the misfortune did not stop there. On October 18, while doing laundry, Ms. Cao Thi Thoa suddenly had a sudden pain attack and fell on the well floor. Although her husband, relatives, and neighbors promptly called an ambulance to the hospital, she did not survive.

Mr. Tran Van Phu - Secretary of the Party Cell of Hamlet 6, Minh Thanh Commune said: Mr. Thang's family is a very exemplary, gentle and very active household in all local movements. Although the family is poor, Mr. Thang himself is constantly sick and cannot do heavy work. Last year, the hamlet put out a list of poor households, but he and his wife absolutely refused to accept it, and gave it to another family.

Ms. Cao Thi Thoa passed away, leaving behind a heavy debt of borrowing money to build a house and leaving her husband with four young children. The eldest child, To Thi Huong Giang, is in second grade this year, the youngest is just two years old. Recently, the third child also fell and broke his thigh bone and had to undergo surgery at the hospital. The four innocent children now lack their mother's hand, and no one knows where their fate will lead. Both sides of the family are poor and struggling. The maternal grandmother is old and bedridden for many years, the paternal grandmother has lung cancer, and the family's situation is extremely difficult.

Ms. Tran Thi Minh - President of the Women's Union of Minh Thanh commune said: With the spirit of mutual love and support, the Women's Union of the commune called on women to donate material and spiritual support, each person a little bit to help Mr. Thang's family, and at the same time assigned members to regularly encourage the children, partly to ease the pain of losing their mother.

Leaving the small house of To Viet Thang's family, we could not help but feel sorry and worried, sympathizing with the situation of the 4 children, not knowing what the future would be like for them when their mother passed away, their father was sick, constantly ill, and both sides of the family could not help.
