(Baonghena.vn) - A tropical depressionon the east coast of the southern Philippines with gusts of level 9,The tropical depression is forecast to continue moving mainly in a westerly direction and is likely to strengthen into a storm.

19:00 on 01/01, the center of the tropical depression is located at about 8.9 degrees North latitude; 126.3 degrees East longitude, on the eastern coast of the southern Philippines. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7 (40-60km/hour),level 9.

Forecast for the next 24 hours,The tropical depression is moving rapidly in a westerly direction, traveling about 30-35km per hour and tends to strengthen. At 7:00 p.m. on January 2, the center of the tropical depression was at about 9.2 degrees North latitude; 118.7 degrees East longitude, about 100km east of Palawan Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 7 (50-60km/hour).level 9.

In the next 24 to 48 hours, the tropical depression continues to move mainly in a westerly direction, traveling about 25km per hour and is likely to strengthen into a storm.
