Yen Thanh district has planned in detail the welcoming ceremony andAnnouncement of Yen Thanh district meeting new rural standards. Assign specific tasks to each member of the relevant departments and offices, especially the police force to ensure security and order during the organization of the above events. The reception ceremony will be organized in accordance with the direction of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, which is solemn and serious, but must be safe and economical. Comrade Phan Van Tuyen:After 10 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the socio-economic situation of Yen Thanh district has gradually developed, social security is ensured, and people's lives are constantly improved. Annual budget revenue reaches over 380 billion VND; more than 15,000 workers are working abroad, sending back over 200 million USD annually, contributing to increasing income; the poverty rate has decreased to 1.92%; average income per capita currently reaches 43 million VND/year.

With the achievements, in the coming time, Yen Thanh District People's Committee will continue to resolutely and synchronously implement solutions to maintain and improve the quality of the achieved NTM criteria in a substantial and sustainable manner. Focus on economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of rural people. Restructure the agricultural sector in a sustainable and effective manner.

Focus on promoting agricultural development towards commodities, quality, food safety, promoting the advantages of each region. Increase the application of scientific and technological advances in production to adapt and respond to climate change. Develop agriculture towards clean, sustainable direction and apply VietGAP, GlobalGAP production processes... on some crops such as vegetables, grapefruit, oranges, livestock such as chickens, pigs.

In particular, quickly put high-yield, high-quality rice varieties into production; form concentrated high-quality commercial rice production areas, form many large production fields according to the value chain. Promote production linkages with product consumption, link production with building product brands and trademarks; build commodity rice material areas for clean rice processing factories. The district converts ineffective rice areas to grow other annual crops, and combines aquaculture with rice cultivation. Effectively exploit hilly land areas, focus on implementing reasonable land accumulation, and improve the efficiency of agricultural land use. By 2025, the proportion of the agricultural sector will be about 30-32%.

Concentrate all resources to continue building and upgrading infrastructure, such as investing in building trade and service centers, developing craft villages, expanding service types, focusing on services serving production, tourism and people's lives. Combinespiritual tourism, eco-tourism with new rural experience tourism. Implement socialized investment in clean water supply projects, rural markets, waste collection and treatment projects and some other public works...

Yen Thanh is building a new countryside associated with urbanization, building a civilized and modern countryside. Consolidating and perfecting the apparatus, organizing staff, assisting the Steering Committee and implementing the New Rural Program from the district to the grassroots level. Strengthening the leadership of the Party, improving the effectiveness of State management and promoting the role of political and social organizations from the district to the commune and hamlet levels. Develop a specific plan to maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of the NTM criteria. Clearly identify key criteria to focus on, especially unsustainable criteria such as environment, income, culture, security and order.
With the goal of building Yen Thanh into a model new rural district, according to the roadmap to 2025, Yen Thanh strives for 50 - 60% of communes to meet advanced new rural standards, at least 3-5 communes to meet model new rural standards.
