(Baonghean.vn) - Despite the temporary closure order, a bedding store owner in Dien Chau was fined 10 million VND; an electronics store owner in Nam Dan was fined 7.5 million VND.

On April 6, 2020, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district issued Decision No. 1139/QD-XPHC on administrative sanctions against Ms. Tr.Th.B - Owner of a bedding, pillow, and mattress business in Village 7, Dien Ky Commune for the act of "Failure to comply with the suspension of business activities for non-essential service businesses to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic" according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister.

Previously, this business household, despite being reminded many times and having signed a Commitment to implement urgent measures to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic (committing to temporarily close and suspend business operations), continued to violate.

According to the provisions of Point c, Clause 4, Article 11 of Decree No. 176/2013/ND-CP dated November 14, 2013 of the Prime Minister "Failure to implement the Decision to apply measures to temporarily suspend business and service activities in public places to prevent and fight the epidemic" has a fine of 5 million to 10 million VND.

Because this facility did not comply despite being reminded many times, the authorities applied aggravating circumstances, applied the maximum penalty of the penalty framework, fined the owner of this facility 10,000,000 VND, and required the store to close according to regulations.

This is the first case of Dien Chau district being administratively sanctioned for "Failure to comply with the suspension of business activities for non-essential service establishments to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic".

Also on April 6, authorities in Nam Dan district also fined an electronics business household VND7.5 million for violating Prime Minister's Directive 16.
