Nam got off the motorbike and challenged the traffic police. At the same time, Van was driving another motorbike in the opposite direction and was not wearing a helmet, so the task force also signaled him to stop for a document check.
Van did not comply, then ran into a nearby restaurant and took out two metal lips to threaten, challenge and attack the police force. Many people witnessed and took the two lips from his hand, but Van continued to insult the force on duty.
Nam continued to run into a restaurant, took two metal lips, and then went out to put pressure on the police force. Nam jumped in, pushed them down, then punched a traffic police officer in the face, mouth, and bit his right leg.
Seeing Nam being restrained, Van picked up a brick in the middle of the road and attacked the police to free Nam but was restrained afterwards.
Because the traffic police officer's injuries were minor, during the investigation, there was a refusal to have an assessment and no request for civil compensation, so the Tan Ky District Police Investigation Agency did not consider handling this behavior.
Tan Ky District People's Procuracy proposed to request Tan Ky District Police to handle administrative violations against 2 subjects for not wearing helmets while driving a motorbike and going in the opposite direction.
The People's Court sentenced Nam to 9 months suspended imprisonment and Van to 6 months suspended imprisonment.
