20 hours of successful pursuit to capture a gold chain snatcher on National Highway 1A

On May 30, Quynh Luu District Police (Nghe An) said they were temporarily detaining Nguyen Van Long (born in 1988), residing in Quynh Giang Commune, Quynh Luu District, to clarify the act of robbery.

Previously, on May 27, 2021, Quynh Luu District Police received a report from Ms. Tran Thi T, born in 1985, stating: That same evening, while she was waiting for a bus on National Highway 1A, a young man riding a motorbike, his face covered, robbed her of a piece of jewelry.gold necklace, worth about 15 million VND.

Immediately after receiving the report, Quynh Luu District Police quickly deployed working groups to verify and screen the suspects. Thereby, Nguyen Van Long, born in 1988, residing in Village 2, Quynh Giang Commune, was found to be a drug addict.

However, the subject fled the area. The task force persistently pursued him and at 3:00 p.m. on May 28, Quynh Luu District Police successfully arrested Nguyen Van Long while he was hiding in Dien Chau District; confiscated 1 motorbike and 1 gold necklace.

Currently, the District Police are completing the case file to handle the subject according to legal regulations./.
