420 kg of firecrackers were shipped to a clinic to 'trick' authorities
(Baonghean.vn) - Yen Thanh District Police said they are detaining two subjects, Tran Khac Duong and Nguyen Van Nhat, for trading in prohibited goods and confiscating 420 kg of firecrackers.
Through the work of grasping the situation, Yen Thanh District Police discovered that two subjects, Tran Khac Duong (born in 1973) and Nguyen Van Nhat (born in 1975), both residing in Cong Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, were the two ringleaders with suspicious signs of criminal activities related to firecrackers, so they reported and asked for direction from the provincial Police leaders and established a special project to fight.

During the investigation, the Task Force encountered many difficulties because the subjects had many methods and tricks to deal with the authorities such as: installing surveillance camera systems around the house, often having subjects on guard duty...
However, with the synchronous and effective use of professional measures, at 9:00 p.m. on September 14, at Hamlet 10, Cong Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, Yen Thanh District Police presided over and coordinated with the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of the Provincial Police to successfully arrest two subjects Tran Khac Duong and Nguyen Van Nhat for trading in prohibited goods (firecrackers); confiscating 20 kg of firecrackers.
During an emergency search of Duong's house, the police seized an additional 400 kg of firecrackers. The total evidence seized in the case included: 420 kg of various types of firecrackers, 3 mobile phones, and 2 motorbikes.
At the police station, through investigation, the two subjects confessed to buying and selling fireworks in the Southern region, then packing them into boxes, writing the receiving address as clinics to deceive the authorities, and then transporting them to Yen Thanh district for consumption during the Lunar New Year.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Thanh District Police is continuing to expand the investigation.
