Coach Hua Hien Vinh has finalized the list of U19 Vietnam players to participate in the 2024 Southeast Asian U19 Championship, including 6 players from Song Lam Nghe An Club.
In the list of 23 players traveling to Indonesia, there are 6 players from Nghe An including: Goalkeeper Cao Van Binh, Nguyen Bao Ngoc; defender Nguyen Mai Hoang; midfielder Nguyen Quang Vinh, Le Dinh Long Vu and striker Phung Van Nam.
Meanwhile, three players, including defender Nguyen Manh Hung, overseas Vietnamese midfielder Ho Huu Hung and striker Nguyen Anh Tuan, were not on the final list for the 2024 Southeast Asian U19 tournament.
The afternoon training session on July 15 at Phu Tho training ground (Ho Chi Minh City) was the last professional training session of the Vietnam U19 team before leaving for Indonesia to prepare for the 2024 Southeast Asian U19 tournament.
As the tournament is approaching, coach Hua Hien Vinh continues to ask his players to practice the attacking situations that have been carefully prepared beforehand, so that they can perform them in the most proficient manner.

VAR will be used in the upcoming tournament, so the U19 Vietnam coaching staff has also reminded the players to avoid collisions in dangerous areas such as in the penalty area as well as in front of the penalty area.
Evaluating the training process before departure, coach Hua Hien Vinh said: “The U19 Vietnam team has had 3 quality friendly matches in China and the last 2 matches. Up to this point, the players are in good condition and preparing for the upcoming tournament. They have grasped the proposed operation. Of course, U19 Vietnam also has problems that need to be overcome such as better passing near the goal. The coaching staff has also focused on that aspect in recent training sessions.”

During training sessions, coach Hua Hien Vinh also reminded the players about VAR technology.
“We have calculated this and noted it to the players. Recently, I also showed them the EURO 2024 situations to remind them in general. When they arrive in Indonesia, the organizing committee will show them about VAR so that they can better understand this issue,” coach Hua Hien Vinh expressed.
