Mong and Thai villages are rich and beautiful thanks to skillful mass mobilization.

Local people can discuss, do and benefit.

Coming to Luu Thong village in the early days of the new spring, you can feel the changes in the only Mong village of Luu Kien commune. The concrete road from the beginning of the village to the alleys is clean, the houses are always neat. The new spring colors are also decorated with plum and peach branches starting to bear young fruit.

When asked about the changes in the village, comrade Tho Ba Cho - Party cell secretary and head of the mass mobilization team of Luu Thong village proudly said: "When the district and commune issued an official dispatch guiding the implementation of building bright models of mass mobilization work, the Party committee, the village management board and members of the mass mobilization team met to discuss and boldly registered to build a road to the new production area.

The members have assigned each other to propagate to the people, mobilize from the conference to each family; all work is done for the people so that the people can discuss, do, check and benefit. Up to now, the village has a beautiful road with a length of 500m leading to the production and livestock area, where 48 households participate in production on an area of ​​85ha. Here, people mainly grow squash, taro, ginger, banana leaves, and raise fish in ponds. Recently, people were very excited when the vegetables had a good harvest.

Not far from Luu Thong village, this season in Dinh Phong and Dinh Tien villages of Tam Dinh commune, cages full of fish are developing, promising a new successful crop. Comrade Lo Van Ly - Party Secretary, Head of the mass mobilization block of Tam Dinh commune excitedly said that Tam Dinh is one of the communes reaching the new rural finish line, however, the commune still faces many difficulties. Due to the terrain and climate, and the commune is located in the corridor of Khe Bo hydroelectric reservoir, the cultivated area is often affected by drought and flooding. Faced with these difficulties, the commune has boldly implemented the project of raising fish in cages on the hydroelectric reservoir.

At first, due to not being familiar with the application of science and technology, the fish grew slowly, the people were discouraged and wanted to give up. The Party Committee, the government and especially the members of the mass mobilization bloc of the commune coordinated with departments and organizations to discuss and work with the people. Gradually, the people became aware of the application of science and technology in investing in fish farming. To have a source of food for the fish, the members went to each household and guided them to grow grass, corn and cassava as food for the fish. Up to now, the whole commune has established a fish cage farming cooperative with 16 participating households and 126 cages.

Spreading hundreds of good mass mobilization models

These early days of Spring, coming to the villages, in 17 communes and towns of Tuong Duong district, where there are 306 skillful mass mobilization models that have been and are promoting effectiveness in various fields, we can feel the spread of the models to the lives of people in this highland area.

Smiles are evident on the faces of many people as life becomes more fulfilling, children are educated, and life gradually changes. To achieve this result, in recent times, the district has mobilized the participation of the entire political system. In villages and hamlets, the role of village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities has been utilized and promoted. Thanks to that, it is easier to "listen to people, speak so that people understand, and make people believe".

Among the 15 bright spot models deployed in 2020, there are typical models such as: Anti-Human Trafficking Crime Club in Tam Bong village, Tam Quang commune; Anti-illegal migration model of Mong people in Hop Thanh village, Xa Luong commune, or Anti-illegal proselytizing model in Pha Lom village, Tam Hop commune.

The above mentioned models have been effective, with many petitions denouncing various types of crimes, helping authorities promptly resolve complicated cases. In addition, the models have also encouraged people to settle down and not migrate illegally. In addition, there are also clever mass mobilization models that have been very effective, such as: caring for and protecting children in Na Lot village, Nhon Mai border commune; implementing livestock regulations well in Yen Na, Yen Hoa communes and Thach Giam town.

Mr. Luong Ba Vin - Head of the People's Mobilization Committee of Tuong Duong District Party Committee said: "The district has determined that the high consensus of the ethnic people will be an important and top condition for the locality to develop in all aspects. Therefore, in the past time, the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Tuong Duong District have considered mass mobilization work as a very important task and directed agencies and units in the district to actively and well carry out this work. Focus on all forms of propaganda and mobilization to be associated with patriotic emulation movements, the National Target Program on New Rural Construction; especially Directive 05-CT/TW on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" associated with the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (term XII) built on all economic, cultural, social, security and defense fields".

The spread of skillful mass mobilization models has also contributed significantly to the work of ensuring social security in Tuong Duong district. The district has visited and presented gifts to more than 5,800 poor and near-poor households, 1,326 meritorious people, and social protection beneficiaries, with a total amount of more than 3.86 billion VND.

In particular, the mass mobilization movement has been effective in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic; mobilizing people to donate to support compatriots in the province and the Central provinces affected by natural disasters. This has affirmed that the spread of skillful mass mobilization models not only contributes to strengthening the close relationship between the Party and the People, consolidating the great solidarity of ethnic groups, enhancing social consensus but also creating conditions for the good implementation of local political tasks.
