Thai Son 1 village, Mon Son commune (Con Cuong) receives the title of new rural standard

Thai Son 1 village is the first village of Mon Son commune to achieve the title of Provincial Cultural Village since 1999; in 2010, the village was divided into 2 villages, Thai Son 1 and Thai Son 2. Currently, the village has 170 households with 3 ethnic groups: Thai, Kinh, Dan Lai with 687 people. With a relatively favorable starting point, the village has quickly absorbed the application of science and technology in production, livestock breeding, and forestry; promoted the development of occupations and services, and diversified sources of income.

Implementing the new rural construction movement, Thai Son 1 village has promoted its internal resources, mobilized a total capital of nearly 1 billion VND, of which the people contributed nearly 500 million VND, the district supported 66 tons of cement to repair and renew 490 m of rural roads, and people participated in donating land and trees. The rate of inter-village roads asphalted and intra-village roads concreted reached 80%.

After 6 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, up to now, Thai Son 1 village has really flourished, the lives of the people in the village have been significantly improved. The rate of households using electricity regularly and clean water for daily life has reached 100%; environmental sanitation work has always been focused on...

Average income per capita reached 30 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate decreased to 16/170 households, accounting for 9.4%.Security, social order and safety are guaranteed; strong political system...

In 2018, Thai Son 1 village achieved 15/15 criteria according to the set of criteria for new rural hamlets and villages; and was recognized by Con Cuong district as a village meeting NTM standards.

Receiving the title of a standard rural village and celebrating 20 years of the village maintaining the title of provincial-level cultural village is the motivation for the cadres and people of Thai Son 1 village to strive to continue improving the quality of the criteria in the coming time, making the rural face increasingly prosperous.

This is also one of 7 villages of Con Cuong district recognized as meeting new rural standards...On this occasion, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in new rural construction were awarded Certificates of Merit by the District and Commune People's Committees.
