ORIENTATION TO BECOME A PRESTIGIOUS APPLICATION TRAINING CENTER

During the 2015 - 2020 term, the School Party Committee has promoted its leadership role in orienting and developing major programs and projects of the School.

The political and ideological situation among cadres, party members, civil servants, students and pupils is stable. Party building work is given attention and has made much progress. The organizational structure is basically arranged in accordance with the scale and development of the School.

The school has opened a number of new training majors. The assessment of students' learning outcomes is fair and objective. Scientific research and technology application activities have had positive changes. The material and spiritual life of staff and civil servants is stable; security and order in the school are ensured.

However, the last term still revealed some limitations, such as the recruitment work still had many difficulties, not achieving the set targets in some professions and training levels; there was no specific financial mechanism towards autonomy, financial revenue from services was still low;...

The general goal of the Party Committee of Vinh University of Technical Education for the 2020 - 2025 term is to become a prestigious applied-oriented technical education university in the Central region and the whole country; combine training and scientific research, apply technology transfer, science and technology into practice; build a clean and strong Party Committee.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Thanh suggested that the School promote scientific research, stimulate start-ups and innovative start-ups among students; forecast and assess the situation more closely to aim for training with real addresses, according to market needs; and cooperate with localities.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son expressed the School's concerns about the School's autonomy, accordingly, it is necessary to clarify the autonomy direction, thinking, specific orientation, especially identifying the spearhead.

TRAINING NEEDS TO FOLLOW PRACTICAL NEEDS

Regarding the upcoming orientation for the school, emphasizing the competitive trend in enrollment, training quality, and post-training services, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that the School continuously innovate, especially in the autonomy mechanism, structure, especially considering the labor market needs of the North Central region to closely follow reality and have appropriate training directions; expand and support training.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that with its tradition, facilities, and teaching staff, the school cannot be satisfied with the current training scale but must be very concerned to expand the training scale to meet development needs.

In addition, the Party Committee of Vinh University of Technology and Education needs to pay special attention to leading the initiation of scientific research, especially applied science, through launching movements among students; at the same time, it is an address to invite, connect, and cooperate to expand research; thereby launching programs for students.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that it is necessary to build and implement a system of regulations, rules, and working principles of the Party Committee and professional bodies to ensure a transparent and public operation; to attach collective and individual responsibilities; to cultivate and update knowledge, regulations, and methods to perform Party work well. In addition, the School needs to promote the spirit of solidarity and collective building to build the school to develop more and more.
