In 2020, Nghe An Newspaper seriously and effectively implemented its publishing schedule and continued to have growth in circulation and interaction on electronic media.

Although the number of units subscribing to newspapers has decreased according to Directive 11 of the Politburo on purchasing and using Party newspapers and magazines due to the merger of commune-level administrative units and the merger of blocks, hamlets, villages and public service units, the rate of requests for subscriptions has increased by 2% compared to 2019, accounting for 94% of the total number of units. The total number of individual newspapers also increased by nearly 10,000 copies compared to 2019.

Also in the year, Nghe An Newspaper implemented the policy of improving the quality, effectiveness, and increasing the value of digital resources on electronic newspapers. The number of visits continued to increase compared to 2019.

In the professional activities of each department in the publishing chain in the direction of specialization. In particular, specialized working groups have been formed in investigation, thematic, and event work; contributing to enhancing the prestige and brand recognition of Nghe An Newspaper.

During the year, Nghe An Newspaper had a total of 64 works achievingjournalism awardsCentral and local, increased by 33 works compared to 2019.

This is also the first year that Nghe An Newspaper has implemented 100% autonomy in salary payment, but Nghe An Newspaper still ensures stable income and life for staff and workers.

Continue to update and innovate strongly to create growth in electronics, youtube, digital platforms. Electronic target from 200,000 - 250,000 visits/day. Maintain distribution by source and increase retail distribution of printed newspapers...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper emphasized that under the conditions of implementing a 100% autonomous mechanism, in 2021, Nghe An Newspaper will continue to innovate its working methods, organize more comprehensive and higher-level brand recognition activities; improve publishing quality.

To do so, the newspaper will continue to promote the improvement of the quality of its staff through training and self-training in depth on brand recognition skills, skills in approaching grassroots and key contacts in the process of carrying out the editorial office's political tasks; and mass mobilization skills for the entire staff, from staff to editors, reporters, technicians, and employees.
