At exactly 5:00 a.m., after the goods were carefully arranged on the vehicle, Nghe An Newspaper started to depart from Vinh city to Quy Chau district to support and help people severely affected by the floods in late September 2023.

Moved by the help from Nghe An Newspaper and readers, Ms. Lim Thi Tuyet in Khe Khoang village, Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau) said that the recent flood had washed away all the property and food in the house. Thanks to the care of Nghe An Newspaper and other benefactors, her family now has more rice and drinking water to continue for many days to come. The rice in the fields was flooded and damaged; replanting will have to wait until next year.

Ms. Tran Thi Hang - Principal of Chau Thang Primary School said that after many days of efforts by the teaching staff and local authorities to overcome the consequences of the flood, on October 4, the school's students returned to school. The flood caused flooding in classrooms, causing severe damage to school equipment and supplies, with estimated damage of over 4 billion VND. This is a meaningful gift to help the school and students overcome difficulties to study with peace of mind; at the same time, she hopes that Nghe An Newspaper and benefactors will continue to join hands and help so that the school can purchase equipment and teaching and learning aids.

Previously, on October 1, after learning about the damage caused by floods to people in the western districts of Nghe An (in which Quy Chau district was the most severely affected), Nghe An Newspaper and readers directly went to the places to deliver 3 tons of rice and other essential goods to the communes of Chau Hanh, Chau Thang, Chau Tien, Quy Chau district.
