Arrest of a subject with 2 criminal records, holding a knife to buy and sell drugs from Laos to Vietnam

At 10:30 p.m. on April 7, in Huoi Le village, Huoi Tu commune, Ky Son district, the Special Case Committee (Ky Son district police) coordinated with the Drug Prevention and Control Team, the Customs Department and Huoi Tu commune police to successfully break the case, arresting Xong Va Denh (born in 1962), residing in Huoi Son village, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking".

Accordingly, in early 2020, through the work of grasping the situation, Ky Son District Police discovered that a number of strange subjects with many suspicious signs appeared in the area. Keeping a close watch on the area, the District Police detectives determined that the above subjects were involved in drug-related activities. In order to synchronously deploy professional measures, the leaders of Ky Son District Police directed the establishment of a special project.

At the scene, the authorities seized 3,600 drug pills, a sharp knife and some related evidence.

At the police station, Xong Va Denh initially confessed to his crime. He said he bought the drugs from Lao people to sell for profit. It is known that Xong Va Denh had two previous convictions for drugs.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and expanded.
