Two aunts and nieces arrested for transporting heroin from Nghe An to Hanoi
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 12, 2021, Que Phong District Police said that the unit is completing the case file to handle 02 subjects for illegally transporting heroin.
- Through the work of grasping the area, Que Phong District Police discovered that Lang Thanh Luan (born in 1979), residing in Kim Khe village, Chau Kim commune, Que Phong district, had many suspicious signs of drug-related crimes. Luan had 02 previous convictions for drugs, and Luan's husband was also serving a prison sentence for drug crimes.

After serving his prison sentence and returning to his hometown, Luan continued to connect with people inside and outside the province to establish a network to illegally transport drugs to the northern provinces for consumption. Notably, Luan colluded with his niece Ha Thi My Duyen (born 2002), residing in Tang village, Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district to organize drug transportation.
Using professional measures, on the evening of November 10, 2021, the Task Force determined that Lang Thanh Luan and Ha Thi My Duyen would rent a car to go to Hanoi, most likely carrying drugs for trading. After checking and verifying, the Task Force immediately deployed secret forces to monitor and supervise. In the early morning of November 11, 2021, determining that this was a suitable opportunity to solve the case, the Task Force mobilized coordinated forces including: Drug Control Patrol Team (Provincial Police); Thong Thu Border Guard Station; Drug Control and Prevention Team, Nghe An Customs Department to deploy a plan to intercept and arrest.

At around 7:30 a.m. the same day, when discovering the subjects moving, the crime-solving force proceeded to check, control and arrest Lang Thanh Luan and Ha Thi My Duyen for illegally transporting drugs. The seized evidence included 01 heroin cake weighing 349.71 grams.
Currently, Que Phong District Police are continuing to fight and investigate further.
