Poor patients on dialysis receive support to build charity houses
On the afternoon of November 5, Vinh City General Hospital coordinated with Agribank Nghe An branch to provide funding to support house repairs for poor patients undergoing dialysis treatment at the hospital.

The patient who received support for house repair is Ms. Nguyen Thi Mau (69 years old) in Thanh Khe commune, Thanh Chuong district, who is undergoing hemodialysis treatment at the Department of Nephrology and Urology, Vinh City General Hospital.
Mrs. Mau’s situation is extremely difficult; she has no husband or children, and lives alone in a severely dilapidated house on land previously granted by the State. Previously, she was in the army and was affected by toxic chemicals, making it difficult for her to move around, requiring her to use a wheelchair, and she is also blind in both eyes.
In 2010, Mrs. Mau discovered she had kidney disease but due to difficult circumstances, by 2020, the patient was forced to undergo dialysis. To date, her disease has progressed to the final stage, with many complications; she must undergo extracorporeal dialysis (artificial kidney), 3 days a week.
Since she started having to undergo dialysis, she has been renting a room near the hospital and has had to rely on her younger sister for all her daily activities. The cost of food, accommodation and medicine for her treatment has become a heavy burden for the family.
After 20 years of strong will to fight against illness, Mrs. Mau always wished to have a more solid and spacious house. Sharing her wish, Vinh General Hospital mobilized sponsorship, coordinated with Agribank Nghe An branch to give 50 million VND to support Mrs. Mau's family to repair the house.
This meaningful activity will help patients in difficult circumstances feel secure in their treatment and have more motivation to overcome their fate; towards a healthier life./.
