Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung shared that 2024 has come to an end, preparing to enter the year of Giap Thin, welcoming the spring of At Ty, the results in 2024 of the country, Nghe An province, and the Border Guard force have been recognized.

2024 is a year of victory for Nghe An, the province has achieved many positive and comprehensive results in the fields of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, Party building and the political system.

The province's socio-economic indicators have met and exceeded 27/28 targets. The indicators on economic growth, budget revenue, investment attraction, social security, education - training, culture and sports all achieved positive results.

In particular, the work of ensuring national defense and security is an extremely important task that has also achieved many outstanding results. In that result, there is a very important contribution from the Provincial Border Guard force. In 2024, the Provincial Border Guard has successfully completed many tasks, excellently completing many tasks; in which, the work of advising the provincial Party Committee, government and localities to carry out national defense tasks, especially protecting territorial sovereignty and border security, has been well performed.

In addition, building a strong and comprehensive Border Guard force has been well implemented. The Provincial Border Guard Party Committee is clean and strong, completing its tasks excellently.

The Border Guard, together with other forces, has done a good job in preventing and combating crime, especially drug crimes and smuggling in border areas.

The Border Guard has actively participated, together with local Party committees and authorities, in economic development, implementing many livelihood models, helping people eliminate hunger, reduce poverty and escape poverty; thereby achieving the goal of building a national border defense and a national border defense posture.

Every time Tet comes, the image of the Border Guard caring for and helping people celebrate Tet is truly touching. The Border Guard has coordinated with other units to organize the programs "Border Spring warms the hearts of the villagers" and "Early Spring in the Highlands" to bring joy and peace to people in the border areas in difficult living conditions.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung acknowledged, warmly commended, and respectfully thanked the contributions of the Provincial Border Guard to the cause of socio-economic development in general and the tasks of protecting territorial sovereignty, border security, and caring for people in the province in particular.

Emphasizing that 2025 is a very important year for the province, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that Nghe An will, together with localities across the country, accelerate and make breakthroughs to achieve the goals and targets of the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, the province will organize party congresses at all levels, towards the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress; carry out a revolution in restructuring and streamlining the organizational apparatus. The province will also carry out many key tasks and key projects to achieve the province's development goals in the coming period.
