The method of hunting clams with plastic cups is quite effective, each cup when collected usually has 3-5 clams, even more. When collecting cups, people will stack the cups, the clams are poured into the cups on top, the empty cups will be stacked below. Plastic cups absorb heat quickly, while clams in hot sun easily die, so it is necessary to set the cups early and collect the cups when the sun is not yet strong to limit the clams from dying. Clams belong to the crab family and live in brackish water along rivers. There are many types of clams: red-claw clams, wind clams, black clams, hairy clams... Clams can be processed into many attractive dishes such as clam cakes, clam soup, fried clams... As soon as the clams are caught, traders come to the house to buy them and bring them to Vinh City and Hanoi for consumption. Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh in Phu Xuan hamlet, Chau Nhan commune said: This clam season, she and her husband have only been hunting for a few days. With nearly 500 plastic cups, each time they go to the field, the two of them can harvest 8-10 kg of clams. The price of clams sold at home is 60,000 VND/kg.
