At the conference, 18 voters expressed their thoughts, aspirations and recommendations to the National Assembly Deputies. One of the pressing issues that voters from Bich Hao and Vo Liet clusters in Thanh Chuong district expressed to the National Assembly Deputies was the illegal sand and gravel mining on the Lam River.

“Sand and gravel mining causes landslides and noise, affecting people’s lives and production. We request that all levels pay attention to and strictly handle this situation,” said Mr. Le Van Tuy, a voter of Thanh Giang commune.
Regarding sand and gravel mining, Mr. Nguyen Van Lieu, a voter of Thanh Giang commune, expressed his indignation at the illegal sand and gravel mining boats on Lam River, affecting the resource, leading to a very high risk of landslides. Mr. Lieu requested that all levels should have specific planning, and license sand and gravel mining docks in the right place and at the right time.

Voter Nguyen Van Thanh, a voter from Thanh Tung commune, said that the work of preventing and fighting corruption is still in a state of “hot above, cold below”. Along with handling major corruption cases, the State needs to pay attention to handling the situation of “petty corruption” and recovering assets after corruption.
In addition, voters of Thanh Chuong district expressed concerns about the situation of extra teaching and learning that has been reported many times for a long time, but has not been resolved; the State needs to continue to have policies to care about the production life of farmers; build clean water plants for people in Bich Hao cluster; speed up the process of granting and exchanging land use right certificates; inadequacies in assessing poor households; policies for people with revolutionary contributions; increase allowances for part-time cadres at the grassroots level, etc.

Speaking at the meetings, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Van Mao thanked voters for closely following the program and content of the session. Voters from Thanh Chuong district had many enthusiastic and responsible opinions, close to the major issues discussed by the National Assembly as well as specific issues in the residential area.
Regarding the fight against corruption, negativity and waste, the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation said that in recent times, the Party and the State have taken drastic measures and achieved good results; the entire political system has joined in synchronously. The Party and the State will continue to direct the fight against corruption to be stronger and better and more effective.

Regarding the recommendations under their authority, local leaders, Thanh Chuong district and Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, Tran Van Mao, explained and answered to clarify.
