The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested local authorities and functional forces to coordinate closely and resolutely request fishermen to move their boats, rafts and cages to safe places. At the same time, aquaculture households need to be instructed to reinforce and tie them securely to minimize damage when the storm hits.

The delegation also inspected the Mo River system - responsible for draining water to avoid flooding in aquaculture areas.

Thanh Vinh ward leaders "went to every alley, knocked on every door", mobilizing residents in old apartment buildings to evacuate urgently before storm No. 5 made landfall.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 5, the authorities of Thanh Vinh ward, Nghe An province have implemented an emergency evacuation plan for more than 1,000 residents living in old, degraded apartment buildings to ensure the safety of people's lives.

All people must leave the dangerous area before 7:00 p.m. on August 24."
