On the afternoon of July 3, the Current Affairs - Politics Party Cell under the Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee held a typical Party Cell Congress for the 2017-2020 term.

The Current Affairs - Politics Party Cell has 9 party members. 100% of the comrades have university degrees. In the Party Cell, there are 02 comrades who are members of the Party Committee, 1 comrade is Deputy Editor-in-Chief, 2 comrades are department leaders, the remaining party members do direct professional work. In the 2015-2017 term, the Current Affairs - Politics Party Cell achieved many remarkable results.

The Party cell has closely followed the content and quarterly and monthly work programs of the Party Committee and the Editorial Board, specifying each task for each cadre and party member to perform. Every month, in regular meetings, the leadership of professional work is evaluated in conjunction with voting and ranking the performance of each cadre and party member.

The congress discussed, voted and approved the direction and tasks for the 2017-2020 term, in which striving to achieve and maintain the title of a strong and clean party cell; 100% of party members completing their tasks well; 100% of cadres and reporters achieving excellent advanced workers, including at least 2 emulation fighters at the grassroots level or higher; 2-3 works winning national and provincial journalism awards each year; 1-2 party members admitted.

The Congress elected the Party cell executive committee for the 2017-2020 term, including comrade Chu Thi Khanh Ly - Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Head of the News - Politics Department to hold the position of Party cell secretary, comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Acting Head of the News - Politics Department to hold the position of Deputy Party cell secretary.
