Sharing of the top student in Mathematics of the continuing education block in the provincial excellent student exam for grade 12
Although studying in the regular education system, with her efforts to overcome difficulties and study hard, in the provincial excellent student exam for grade 12 in the 2024-2025 school year, Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, class 12B, Anh Son District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center, achieved the top score in Math with a score of 12. This is the first time the Math subject of Anh Son District's continuing education block has achieved such a high score.
Nguyen Thi Thu Trang was born and raised in Bai Da village, Phuc Son commune. Trang is the third child in a family of 5 sisters, living in difficult circumstances. Her parents are farmers, working on the fields all year round, so they don't have time to care for and worry about their children's education. Feeling sorry for her parents' hard work and having many siblings, Trang has been very diligent and hardworking since childhood, helping her parents with all the housework.

Since primary and secondary school, Trang has known how to arrange her own study time and not let her parents worry or be upset. In grade 8 and grade 9, she won second prize in the district's excellent student competition in History. When preparing for the 10th grade exam, Trang did not register for the entrance exam to local high schools, but applied to the district's Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center and set herself the goal that as long as she tried hard, she would study well in any environment.
During her 10th grade year, Thu Trang realized that she had a talent for Math, so she spent a lot of time studying this subject and registered for the excellent student competition. Trang said that she switched to studying Math because she felt that when studying, she could freely think and be creative. This subject has a variety of exercises, not bound to a certain type of question. According to Trang, in order to study Math well, the first thing students need to do is understand theorems, definitions, properties, principles... to be able to apply them to do exercises, and then they need to work hard on practice exercises.

During the process of studying and reviewing for the national team exam, Trang has built a reasonable and effective study time and method. In class, Trang focuses on listening to the teacher's lectures, understands the lesson and completes the exercises right in class. At home, she spends a lot of time studying by herself, reading more advanced books and practicing solving many types of questions to expand her knowledge. During the final review time for the exam, after school hours after noon and in the afternoon, Trang and her teacher stay at school to study. In the evening, Trang spends quiet time late at night and early in the morning to practice more types of questions. Solving many exercises is the fastest way to remember and apply knowledge well. Whenever she encounters difficult problems, she always tries to find a way to solve them. If she cannot do it herself, Trang looks it up on the Internet, asks her teachers and friends.
With diligence and hard work, Trang has achievedvaledictorian Mathematics for continuing education in the provincial excellent student exam for grade 12 this year, bringing honor and pride to teachers and the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center of Anh Son district. Not only having good academic achievements, Thu Trang also actively participates in cultural, artistic and extracurricular activities of the school.

“What I want is to change people’s prejudices against students studying at the Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education. It is not necessary to study at specialized schools or public schools to be able to study well and be successful. As long as you always try hard, are confident and have a determined spirit, every student can achieve their dreams.”

Teacher Tran Thi Dien, Trang's math tutor, said: Although Trang was strong in social subjects when she was in middle school, when teaching Trang, I realized that she was a talented student, quick-thinking, and had a very good knowledge of math, so I chose Trang to join the math team and she passed the school's excellent student exam, then used her as a source for the 12th grade provincial excellent students. During the whole process of studying and reviewing for exams, Trang was very diligent and hardworking, which also motivated me and the two of us spent a lot of time reviewing together. When we found out the exam results, both Trang and I were very happy, this was the sweet fruit after all the efforts of the teacher and student.
Over the years, the center has made many innovations in teaching and learning, improving the quality of mass education and key education, thereby improving the quality of education of the center. In this year's provincial excellent student competition, Anh Son District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center had 8 students, 6 of whom won prizes. This is the first time the school has had a student who achieved the top prize in Mathematics, such an achievement for students studying at the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center is a commendable effort. This achievement has also made an impression, evaluating the quality of education of the center, motivating teachers to continue to strive to contribute and improve professional quality.
