Police officer saves drowning father and son

Previously, on July 8, 2018, on the weekend, Mr. Tran Van Hoi and his son (residing in Kim Son town, Que Phong) went to the 7-storey waterfall (Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district).

While bathing at the waterfall, both father and son were caught in a whirlpool and could not swim out. Seeing Mr. Hoi and his son struggling in the water, Senior Lieutenant Quang Trung Thanh, who was playing with his family here, discovered the incident and immediately jumped in to hug Tran Tien Dat (born in 2015, Mr. Hoi's son) and brought him to shore safely. After that, he continued to jump into the water to save Mr. Hoi and bring him to shore.

Thanks to being discovered and rescued in time, Mr. Hoi and his son were lucky to escape death by a hair's breadth.

Having just escaped the hands of the "water god", Mr. Tran Van Hoi said: "I am truly grateful to Mr. Thanh for jumping into the water to save both my father and I. If it weren't for him, I don't know what would have happened. I myself know how to swim, and have been to the 7-storey waterfall before. But this time, I don't know why I was sucked into the whirlpool and couldn't get out. While I was exhausted and struggling, someone grabbed me and helped me to shore."

Currently, the health and psychology of Mr. Hoi and his son have stabilized again, and all activities are normal.

It is known that Senior Lieutenant Quang Trung Thanh (born in 1990), residing in Kim Son town, Que Phong district, is currently an officer of the Security Team of Que Phong District Police.
