(Baonghean.vn) - The 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2019-2024 term has consulted to elect 65 delegates to the new City Fatherland Front Committee and elected Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet - Member of the City Party Committee, President of the City Women's Union to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh City for the 18th term, 2019-2024 term.
On the morning of May 22, the Vinh City Fatherland Front (VFF) held the 18th Congress of Delegates for the 2019-2024 term to evaluate the results of the implementation of the action program for the 2014-2019 term; propose an action program and consult on the election to the Vinh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term.

During the 2014-2019 term, the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its members in the city have had many innovations and creativity in both content and methods of operation; proactively building specific and practical programs and action plans, advising the Party Committee and strengthening the Party's role in the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Accordingly, the work of propaganda, mobilization, and gathering solidarity among all classes of people has been innovated in a close and specific direction, contributing to creating high consensus in implementing the city's political tasks. The quality of emulation movements and campaigns chaired by the Fatherland Front has become more substantial, creating a spreading effect.
During the term, the Fatherland Front at all levels mobilized people from all walks of life to contribute more than 163 billion VND to build infrastructure. The Fund for the Poor mobilized more than 11 billion VND and the Tet for the Poor program after 4 years of launching has mobilized nearly 13 billion VND; mobilized more than 38 billion VND for various humanitarian and charity funds; the Fund "Joining hands, contributing to protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands"...
The city's Fatherland Front and wards and communes have also had many concerns, improving the quality and effectiveness of monitoring and criticism activities according to Decision 217-QD/TW, Decision 218-QD/TW of the Politburo; presiding over the implementation of dialogue activities between Party committees, grassroots authorities and people periodically every year in wards and communes; associated with post-dialogue monitoring to ensure that people's recommendations and concerns are thoroughly resolved.

In 5 years,The city's Fatherland Front at all levels organized 159 seminars on food safety and hygiene; collection, expenditure, and management of humanitarian and charity funds; administrative reform, public ethics; and handling of citizens' complaints and denunciations.

With the congress theme "Solidarity, democracy, innovation, consensus to build a civilized and developed Vinh city", the congress proposed 5 action programs for the 2019 - 2024 term.
