My Ly Border Guard Station currently manages more than 48 km of border, adjacent to 7 villages of Laos. The management area includes 2 communes Bac Ly and My Ly, with 25 villages and more than 10,400 people. The station is maintaining 25 security and order teams in villages and 5 households registered to self-manage the border and landmarks.

Currently, the unit is sponsoring 7 poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well, and has adopted 2 students. In addition, the station regularly helps people develop their economy, giving more than 4,200 gifts to people.

Speaking to the cadres, soldiers, leaders and people of My Ly commune, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: We have just gone through an extremely difficult year 2020, with many fluctuations and unforeseen impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters.

However, with the efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the consensus of the people, and the participation of the armed forces, the socio-economic development, national defense and security of the province have achieved many positive results.

Along with socio-economic development, the province’s Covid-19 prevention and control work has achieved many positive results. Up to now, no Covid-19 cases have been detected in the province, although the province has the largest area in the country, a long border, and a large number of returning workers.

The work of caring for the poor has been carried out well, mobilizing 456 billion VND for social security, Covid-19 prevention and control, and natural disasters. Of which, the province has also mobilized more than 91 billion VND to support the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2021.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the overall success of the province has had a great contribution from Ky Son district in general and My Ly commune and My Ly Border Guard Station in particular. He acknowledged, commended and congratulated the results that My Ly Border Guard Station and the armed forces in the commune have achieved in the past time. In addition to the task of ensuring border security, working with other forces to ensure security, order and help the people, the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the commune has been carried out in many diverse and effective forms.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that 2021 is the first year the province implements the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic returning and developing complicatedly. Right from the beginning of the year, the province has encountered difficulties and challenges while it is carrying out many important tasks. Therefore, the requirements set for all levels and sectors are very high.

Faced with that situation, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung requested that the border guards, military and police forces in the coming time focus on doing a good job of ensuring security and order; ensuring that the people, especially policy households, poor and near-poor households, can celebrate Tet in peace and warmth, and must do everything possible to ensure that every family and every person can have Tet, leaving no one behind.

In addition, the sectors must ensure good work in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the area under difficult conditions. In particular, it is necessary to strictly control the border to prevent illegal entry. The sectors must, together with the Party Committees and authorities, ensure good security and order during the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
