Dien My Club (Dien Chau) won first prize at the 2nd Nghe - Tinh Vi and Dam Folk Song Festival

(Baonghean.vn) -After 2 days of exciting competition, last night (August 19), the 2nd Nghe - Tinh Folk Song Festival 2013 ended with the awarding of first prize to 2 clubs: Dien My (Dien Chau - Nghe An) and Thach Ha town (Ha Tinh). The Organizing Committee also awarded A prize to 23 best performances along with many other secondary prizes.

According to the general assessment of the Jury, the quality of content and art of this festival is higher than before. The participating units have clearly shown the representative faces of the folk singing movement at the grassroots level. The number of self-composed and self-performed performances is quite large, reflecting the cultural space and performance environment with cultural identity as well as local production practices. This proves that the vitality of Vi and Giam folk songs is increasingly strong in people's lives.

Notable among them are the performances “Nguyet da thanh lon” by Truong Luu Club (Can Loc), “Doi ca o hang ban ruou” by Dien My Club (Dien Chau), “Hat vi doi da o Nhan” by Ky Thu Club (Ky Anh)…

The jury also highly appreciated the artistic quality of the clubs from Nghe An when they had many performances imbued with local cultural identity and were creative and skillful in their performance.
