Con Cuong: Giang River water never dries up, number of tourists is highest ever
(Baonghean.vn) - The heat waves in Nghe An have caused tourists from all over to flock to Con Cuong - Nghe An, a top tourist destination in Western Nghe An, especially since the Giang River is still full of water despite the hot weather.
The hot weather from April until now, along with the summer vacation, has caused the number of tourists to Con Cuong district to increase sharply since the beginning of the tourist season. Cruising on the Giang River, admiring the primeval forest, Pha Lai Dam, enjoying the cool air from the river, streams, Khe Kem waterfall... are rare advantages of Con Cuong in the summer.
In particular, although Lam River is dry, Giang River in Mon Son is still clear, attracting more and more tourists.

According to a report from Con Cuong district, tourism and hotel business activities in the first 6 months of the year have improved; the number of visitors is high, especially in groups, tours, and routes.
The number of visitors to Con Cuong reached more than 51,000, the highest ever, of which the total number of community tourists was about 7,800. In particular, there were 226 international tourists from countries such as Korea, China, the US, the UK, France... visiting this mountainous district.

Revenue from accommodation, catering and tourism services in the area in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 29 billion 704 million VND, equal to 49% of the plan, up 15.20% over the same period last year 2018.
The district has effectively exploited tours and main tourist routes such as: Con Cuong town to visit the Open Cultural Nature Museum at Pu Mat National Park - Khe Kem waterfall; Giang river cruise and homestay community tourism in 3 villages: Khe Ran (Bong Khe commune); Nua village (Yen Khe commune) and Xieng village (Mon Son commune).
Con Cuong is continuing to invest in a number of new tourist attractions, such as the provincial-level scenic spot Tham Nang Man, the national historical site Bia Ma Nhai, the beautiful cave Thung Bung... This will be an interesting and attractive destination for tourists who love to explore the beauty of stalactites in caves and love the history of the Vietnamese people.
