Many innovations and breakthroughs in the movement for national security

The emulation movement For National Security in the period of 2015-2020 in the Nghe An Police force took place in the context of many difficulties in ensuring security and order. Overcoming many challenges, with the consistent goal of building the Nghe An Police force to become "more disciplined, more dedicated, more polite, more determined and more prestigious", the Nghe An Police has been active, proactive, innovative, creating a comprehensive breakthrough in the emulation movement For National Security.

Over the past 5 years, Nghe An Police have directed dozens of attacks to suppress all types of crimes, thereby reducing 3.1% of crimes against social order; the rate of investigated cases reached 84.2%, of which serious and especially serious cases reached 98.3%. The provincial police have eliminated 450 gangs, arrested over 14,000 criminals; prevented the formation of complex hotspots...

Nghe An Police continues to be one of the leading units in the fight against drug crimes. Over the past 5 years, they have dismantled more than 180 transnational and inter-provincial drug rings, 8 localities, 58 complex drug hotspots, 2,000 retail outlets, expelled 48 groups of subjects organizing illegal drug trafficking in border areas; arrested 5,198 cases, 6,361 subjects, seized more than 1.4 tons of drugs of all kinds. The amount of drugs seized annually increased by more than 1.1 tons compared to the period 2010-2015...

Regarding administrative reform, the Party Committee and leaders of Nghe An Public Security focused on directing the improvement of the effectiveness of state management of security and order. Effectively implementing immigration management; issued more than 79,000 Vietnam-Laos border passes; requested the Ministry of Public Security to issue more than 420,000 passports; detected and handled more than 2,500 cases of immigration violations.

The provincial police continue to be the leading unit in the entire force in administrative procedure reform with the application of more than 50 computer software; shortening the time to return results of 92 administrative procedures; cutting from 256 types of periodic reports to 42 reports...

Through the 5-year emulation movement, Nghe An Police was awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister. In 2019, it was honored to receive the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal from the Party and State.

Nghe An Police has 1,416 groups and 7,200 individuals with outstanding achievements who have been commended at all levels, including 2 groups awarded the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal; 2 individuals awarded the title of "National Emulation Fighter"; 2 groups and 12 individuals awarded the Feat of Arms Medal of all classes; 3 individuals awarded the Bravery Medal; 45 individuals awarded the title of "Emulation Fighter of the entire People's Public Security Force", 1 individual voted in the top 10 outstanding young Vietnamese faces in 2019...

Creating an increasingly better image of the police officer

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of 5 years of implementing the emulation movement For National Security in the Nghe An Public Security force. Accordingly, the provincial leaders are assured and have absolute trust when receiving advice from the Public Security force.

The emulation movement has many positive changes; many peaks and spearheads have been built, with great influence, creating a new vitality, with the highest determination and will. Accordingly, from 2015 to 2019, the Provincial Police were continuously awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister, the Provincial Police Party Committee was awarded the title "Typical Clean and Strong" by the Provincial Party Committee, more than 8,000 collectives and individuals were awarded.

The work of Party building and force building has achieved many outstanding results, creating many new peaks, spearheads and breakthroughs; the leadership at all levels is united and exemplary; officers and soldiers are always diligent and dedicated to their work, doing many practical and meaningful things, creating an increasingly beautiful image of police officers in the beloved homeland of Uncle Ho.

Forecasting that the security and order situation in the country and the province will continue to change in the coming time, comrade Le Hong Vinh noted a number of contents that the Provincial Police need to strive to implement. That is to continue to promote the emulation movement For National Security associated with the patriotic emulation movement, creating a more profound and comprehensive change, achieving many outstanding achievements in work and combat.

The police force from the province to the grassroots level must closely follow and do better in its advisory work to effectively serve the political tasks and socio-economic development of the locality. The police force must proactively grasp and do well in its forecasting work, promptly advise on the effective resolution of emerging issues, and not let sudden, unexpected events occur, creating "hot spots".

Absolutely ensure the safety of major political and social events, especially party congresses at all levels leading up to the 13th National Party Congress; absolutely ensure the safety of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels. Synchronously and resolutely deploy measures to ensure social order and safety, focusing on drug crimes, high-tech crimes, crimes involving foreign elements... resolutely not allowing the formation of organized crimes and "mafia"-style activities.

Strengthening the work of Party building and force building, it is necessary to regularly conduct political and ideological education and traditional education to raise awareness for cadres and soldiers; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and the movement to study and implement Uncle Ho's 6 teachings.
