Recognizing another brocade weaving village in Que Phong
(Baonghean.vn) - Co Ngu Village, Chau Thon Commune is the 4th village in Que Phong District recognized as a craft village by the Provincial People's Committee. Its field of activity is the production of brocade products.

On the morning of August 10, the People's Committee of Que Phong district held a ceremony to announce the brocade weaving craft village of Co Ngu village, Chau Thon commune. This Thai ethnic village has a long tradition of brocade weaving and is part of the local government's plan to build a craft village.

Co Ngu craft village has a total of 33/44 households participating. It promises to create regular jobs for 40 women in the village. Production and trade of brocade products are the main activities of this craft village.

During the years 2016 - 2018, Que Phong district has built 4 brocade weaving villages. Previously, Dan village (Tien Phong), Co Nong village (Muong Noc), Mong village (Cam Muon) were recognized as craft villages.
Ms. Loc Thi Hoan, Head of Co Ngu village, also a member of the craft village, shared: In the past, the craft village has received support from all levels and sectors such as opening training classes, investing in weaving frames, however, members still face difficulties in accessing loan sources as well as business experience.
