Cong Vinh releases autobiography 'Minute 89'

There are stories from his childhood on the back of a buffalo, in the fields, in the fish pond, to issues surrounding football such as match-fixing, violence in football, and the problems of the V-League...

Cong Vinh devoted a chapter to his love story with singer Thuy Tien. Their tumultuous and turbulent love story turned a new page after their wedding in 2014. He revealed the problems he had to overcome to be able to live with the singer.

Through the book, Cong Vinh sends a message about constantly striving to create a better life. No need for innate talent, willpower is what helps people overcome ups and downs, conquering higher goals in life. By telling about his most painful adversities, he expressed his belief that adversity is born only to help each person become more mature.

Cong Vinh's autobiography, written by journalist Tran Minh, is 304 pages long and will be released from May 23. He plans to meet and sign autographs for readers in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Nghe An.
