(Baonghean.vn) - Although nearly 70 years old, Mr. Le Duy Hoan in Hiep 1 hamlet, Nghia Lien commune, Nghia Dan district (Nghe An) is still passionate about inventions, such as the safe lifting ladder product that has been certified by the Department of Intellectual Property - Ministry of Science and Technology for quality.

Mr. Hoan's idea of making a safe elevator came from his realization that at many construction sites and high-rise buildings, transporting people and goods using stairs would take a lot of effort.

Mr. Hoan said: "After nearly 30 tests, we were able to produce the first safe lift in 2014."

This elevator has an outstanding advantage in that it has a self-braking device using weight. If a cable breaks during operation, the cabins will be stopped immediately and will not fall down.

According to Mr. Hoan, the average time to complete each elevator is from 20 days to 1 month, depending on the number of workers and the size of the elevator that the person needs to make.

Mr. Hoan's safe lift product was granted copyright No. 1296 by the Intellectual Property Office on September 7, 2015. In 2018, the product won second prize in the "Nghe An Province Innovation and Startup Competition 2018", and Mr. Hoan was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for his contributions in the field of science and technology in May 2018.
