Voters ask authorities to be more drastic in handling 'suspended' projects

Many problems
At the meeting with voters, after the announcement of the results of the 9th session of the 14th National Assembly, term 2016 - 2021 by delegate Nguyen Van Chi - Member of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee, 12 voters spoke, raising many issues to the National Assembly, the Government, ministries, central branches, provinces and towns.
Expressing concern over China's continuous aggressive activities in the East Sea, voter Nguyen Trong Hue - Chairman of the Veterans Association of Cua Lo town suggested that the National Assembly should allocate investment resources to strengthen national defense potential to maintain national sovereignty in general and territorial waters in particular.

Voter Nguyen Trong Hue also raised concerns about the current inadequate management and use of land resources with a series of land acquisition cases being prosecuted in a number of localities across the country.
Right in Cua Lo town, there are hundreds of hectares of land allocated to businesses and individuals that have not been used for decades. Therefore, it is recommended that the National Assembly assign the Government to conduct a general inspection of land use projects to handle the situation in order to end the situation of "suspended" projects.

Expressing his high agreement with many correct decisions of the National Assembly and the Government in recent times that have been widely supported by voters, especially the Law on Prevention of Harmful Effects of Beer and Alcohol and Decree No. 100 of the Government, voter Che Dinh Son - Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee raised a number of social issues, requesting the National Assembly and the Government to continue to intervene more effectively in the activities of protection, debt collection, and "black" credit that are appearing in many localities.
Many voters also raised concerns about the policies for non-professional activists in the block and hamlet; the support for beneficiaries according to Resolution 42/2020 of the Government still has many shortcomings. Some voters also suggested that the National Assembly study and adjust the increase in retirement age; reduce the age of beneficiaries of the elderly protection regime from 80 years old to 75 years old.

At the end of the meeting with voters, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thanh Hien clarified many issues of concern to voters.
The Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation affirmed that the issues raised by voters have been recently proposed by the National Assembly to amend and supplement the legal regulations to deal with them with the viewpoint of "no forbidden zones".

However, these issues are causing many concerns. With the authority and responsibility, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will convey the concerns of voters to the National Assembly to continue to supervise all levels to do better in the coming time.
In addition, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation also fully received voters' opinions to send to the relevant authorities to resolve issues related to "suspended" projects; agricultural land compensation policies; and policies for non-professional workers at the grassroots level.

Regarding the payment of support under the Government's 62 billion VND package, delegate Nguyen Thanh Hien requested that authorities at all levels in Cua Lo town pay attention to ensuring the correct regime for people with meritorious services and that other subjects need to be surveyed to implement it correctly.
On the other hand, the town also needs to pay attention to reviewing and continuing to propose the withdrawal of "suspended" projects; investing in some roads and resettlement areas for people living near the port...
