Voters send many thoughts and wishes to the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly
Tomorrow, October 22, the 6th Session of the 14th National Assembly officially opens in Hanoi with many important contents that voters nationwide are looking forward to.
Trust and expectation are the thoughts of many voters before the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly. Because this session takes place right after the 8th Central Conference of the 12th tenure has just ended with the discussion of many important issues for the country's socio-economic development; the issue of responsibility to set an example, the pioneering and exemplary nature of each leader, cadre, and party member; about the Sea strategy...
In particular, voters were excited and welcomed the Central Committee's introduction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for the National Assembly to elect as President; expressing their trust and expectation that the General Secretary concurrently being President is an extremely important issue, in line with the Party's will and the people's wishes, meeting voters' expectations.

Voters affirmed that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a person who wholeheartedly serves the Fatherland and the people, is honest and intelligent. In recent years, he and the Central Committee have issued many important resolutions, especially on promoting the fight against corruption and achieving unprecedented positive results, strengthening the people's trust in the Party.
Voter Le Duc Hanh (Kim Ma ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) said that the Central Executive Committee has confidently introduced General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong as a person with enough virtue, talent, the right person for the right job, worthy of a very important position. The people absolutely trust, agree to support and hope that the General Secretary will accept this noble responsibility to serve the Fatherland, the Party and the people for longer and more, to bring the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation, together with the entire Party, the National Assembly, the Government and the people to build a developed and civilized nation, following the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and our people.
At this session, the National Assembly will spend about 9.5 days reviewing and approving 9 draft laws; 1 draft resolution and giving opinions on 6 other draft laws. The National Assembly will continue to give opinions on amending the Law on Anti-Corruption (amended). Voters agree with the 2 options submitted to the National Assembly on handling assets and additional income whose origin cannot be reasonably explained by the person who is obliged to declare. The Court will consider and decide or transfer the case to the competent tax authority to collect personal income tax according to regulations.
However, voters believe that officials who do not voluntarily declare their assets should be forced to resign when discovered; assets whose origin cannot be explained should be confiscated. At the same time, voters are dissatisfied because "petty corruption" has not decreased, and people have to pay for expenses outside of regulations when carrying out administrative procedures.
Lieutenant General Khuat Duy Tien, former Commander of the Central Highlands Army Corps, believes that if the top is "boiling", the bottom must also be moving. This will help the fight against corruption and internal invasion end soon, the country become increasingly clean, the country's economy take off, and create a working atmosphere among the people to participate in building the country.
Voters and people are still concerned about a number of issues such as: the economy faces many difficulties and challenges; inflation is still latent; labor productivity and competitiveness in many industries and fields are not high; there is a risk of falling further behind if there is no timely and effective solution to grasp and apply advanced scientific and technological achievements; environmental pollution, climate change, storms, floods, droughts, and saltwater intrusion are unpredictable, tending to have a more severe impact on production and people's lives. At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training is requested to clarify whether or not there is a large waste of textbooks that are only used once; continue to pay attention to improving the quality of postgraduate training. In addition, teachers' salaries are too low but they are prohibited from teaching extra classes, leading to a situation where students have to write applications for voluntary extra classes so that teachers can deal with the authorities.
As the agency receiving voters' opinions and aspirations, Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, affirmed: the responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is to monitor and organize supervision of voters' recommendations. The Front will conduct supervision according to the Law on Supervision, coordinate with the media so that people can listen to the opinions of elected representatives on their activities, and at the same time, the opinions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to enhance the responsibility of ministries, branches, and the Government in implementing the responses.
These opinions must be answered. The annual monitoring program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front provides the content of the monitoring program. Monitor the implementation of the recommendations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. There are contents that have been monitored 2-3 times and those contents are implemented.
Voters hope that this time, a vote of confidence will be held for those holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly to clearly show high, low and low confidence. Thereby, raising awareness, responsibility, courage and capacity of National Assembly deputies, contributing opinions to convey the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of voters to the National Assembly forum.
At the same time, it is expected that the National Assembly will continue to innovate in legislative work, questioning and answering activities; improve the quality of collecting voters' opinions and recommendations; and focus on key supervisory activities, focusing on major issues of the country and issues that the majority of voters and people are interested in./.
