10-year-old boy suspected of drowning in Hoang Mai river while returning home for Tet with his family
(Baonghean.vn) - While his family was returning to his hometown to celebrate Tet with his grandparents, while his parents were away, a 10-year-old boy ran to the Hoang Mai River to play and went missing, suspected of drowning.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of January 22, 2020 (December 28 of the lunar calendar) on the Hoang Mai River, Hoang Mai town, the victim was Van Tung Lam (born in 2010). The victim's family said: While his parents were away, he ran out to the Hoang Mai River to play. When they couldn't find him, his family ran out to the river to look for him and found one of his sandals left on the boat.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department directed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team No. 9 to dispatch 16 officers and soldiers to the scene; coordinate with functional forces, relatives, and the people to deploy vehicles and professional measures to search for the victim.
It is known that Lam and his family are currently living in Hanoi. On the occasion of Tet holiday, the whole family returned to visit and celebrate Tet with their grandparents in Mai Hung ward, Hoang Mai town.
Currently, the rescue team and family are still trying to find the child.
