The body of a young man who drowned in the canal was found.
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 7:30 this morning (May 20), the rescue team found the body of young man Nguyen Cong Duc (born 2004), residing in hamlet 11, Dai Son commune, Do Luong.

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 1:00 p.m. on May 19, at the New Bridge over the Dao Canal in Hamlet 1, Dong Son Commune, Do Luong, a tragic drowning incident occurred.
The location where the rescue team found Nguyen Cong Duc drowned is 500m downstream of the Dao Canal, 10m from the foot of Yen Son Bridge.
Yesterday, to facilitate the search for Duc's body, the Mu Ba sluice was closed to reduce the amount of water flowing on the canal. This morning, when the water on the canal had significantly dried up, Duc's body was floating in the above location.
Nguyen Cong Duc's family was present to receive the body and hold a funeral ceremony, then bring it home for burial according to local customs.
As reported, at 1:00 p.m. on May 19, Nguyen Cong Duc and 5 friends were swimming at the foot of the New Canal Bridge in Hamlet 1, Dong Son Commune, Do Luong. Duc then swam to the middle of the canal and sank. A friend on the shore saw him and swam out to save him but was unsuccessful./.
