National Assembly delegates meet voters in Hoang Mai town

Participating in the meeting were National Assembly deputies of the provincial National Assembly delegation: Ms. Nguyen Van Chi - Deputy Head of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly; Mr. Pham Phu Binh - Standing Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly; Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

At the Conference, voters listened to National Assembly deputies report on the expected content of the 4th session of the 15th National Assembly and the results of handling opinions and recommendations of voters of Hoang Mai town before and after the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly.

Before and after the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation recorded and compiled 18 opinions and recommendations of voters of Hoang Mai town to forward to competent agencies for resolution, including 13 recommendations under the authority of the Central agency and 05 recommendations under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee. Up to now, 15/18 recommendations have been responded to by the agencies, the remaining 03 recommendations have not yet received a response from the relevant ministries and branches. The Provincial National Assembly Delegation has copied the response documents and sent them to the Standing Committees of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committees of districts, cities, and towns to inform voters and posted them on the electronic information page of the People's Delegates of Nghe An province for voters to follow.

The conference listened to 12 voters' opinions. Voters expressed their excitement at the results of socio-economic development in 2022 and highly appreciated the activities of the National Assembly and National Assembly deputies.

Regarding issues of concern to voters, many opinions suggested that compensation for site clearance for the National Highway 1A upgrade project has existed for a long time but has not been completely resolved. This issue has been noted by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and conveyed to the Ministry of Transport through contact with voters before and after the 2nd and 3rd sessions. The Ministry of Transport said that the Ministry has proposed a plan to allocate an additional central budget to support Nghe An province in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 to completely handle complaints. In the coming time, the Ministry of Transport will continue to seek opinions from relevant ministries and branches on the above proposal and report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.

The issue of regimes and policies for non-professional cadres in hamlets and blocks after the merger is also of interest to many voters.

According to Mr. Le Khac Trung, a voter of block 12, Quynh Xuan ward, after the block merger, the area and population of the new block increased a lot, even 2 or 3 times that of the old block, but the allowance regime was not increased. The work of block and hamlet cadres is very hard. Voters proposed to increase the allowance regime for block and hamlet cadres.

Voter Dau Minh Thien - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Trang commune conveyed to the Conference to meet with National Assembly delegates many opinions of voters of Quynh Trang commune. Voters reflected that the progress of the North - South expressway project is slow, causing difficulties for local people in traffic, especially causing serious landslides during the rainy and flood season and causing air pollution and dust during the hot season. Voters proposed that the Government direct to speed up the progress of the North - South expressway project.

Voter Thien also suggested that there should be general regulations on land prices in compensation for site clearance, and that each province and district should not have different regulations, causing difficulties in compensation for site clearance. The procedures for granting land use right certificates should be strict, but the components of the documents and procedures should be simplified so that people can easily implement them. In addition, voters suggested that it is necessary to upgrade the level 2 dike of the canal north of Vuc Mau Lake; and maintain and repair the road from National Highway 1A to Vuc Mau Lake because it has seriously degraded.

Voter Vu Van Loi, block 2, Quynh Xuan ward, reported that the current water supply for shrimp farming households is not guaranteed. He proposed dredging the Mai Giang riverbed widely and deeply to meet the water supply for shrimp farming activities of the people.

In addition, some other contents were proposed by voters such as the issue of water supply and drainage on National Highway 1A through Quynh Xuan ward and some roads managed by the town; drug addiction treatment management; the issue of flood discharge procedures during heavy rains; granting land use right certificates; medical examination and treatment at commune and ward health stations; the issue of increasing tuition fees...

Representatives of the Department of Transport, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Hoang Mai Town People's Committee answered and explained the contents under their authority.
