(Baonghean.vn) - Many sections of road are peeling off, with layers of sand and gravel rising to the road surface; on sunny days it is thick with dust, on rainy days some spots become large puddles, threatening traffic safety.

Recently, people in Trung Son commune - Do Luong have been very upset about having to deal with dust pollution every day, along with the deterioration of the inter-village road caused by overloaded vehicles.

Trung Son commune, Do Luong district has just achieved new rural standards not long ago, but some inter-village and inter-commune roads have been damaged by overloaded vehicles. Visiting the inter-village concrete road in Dong Bich hamlet, Trung Son commune, many sections of the road were peeling off, layers of sand and gravel were protruding onto the road surface, and when it rained, some spots created large puddles.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bay in Trung Son commune (Do Luong) said: Every morning from 1-3 am, many trucks with large loads, mainly trucks carrying sand and rocks from Do Luong town, Da Son, Trung Son, Trang Son, run through the concrete road of Dong Bich village. Every night, we hear the sound of trucks, the dust is so thick that every house has to keep its doors closed. People are very upset and have made many petitions at voters' meetings, but this situation has not been resolved.

Some people also reflected that if the situation of overloaded trucks carrying materials continues to run through here, the traffic system of Trung Son commune will be increasingly damaged. While Trung Son commune is still a purely agricultural commune, life is still difficult. In the past, Trung Son people have made efforts to contribute part of the budget along with the State's support to build new rural roads, so people really hope that the relevant sector will have a solution to eliminate the situation of trucks entering the village and destroying the traffic roads.

Mr. Doan Van Linh, Chairman of Trung Son Commune People's Committee, admitted that the fact that overloaded trucks run through Trung Son and Do Luong communes every night, damaging some village roads, is true. These trucks mainly carry materials and run through Trung Son commune, avoiding traffic control stations in Do Luong town and National Highway 15A.

The commune once erected a high barrier at Dong Bich hamlet to prevent trucks, but at midnight, trucks passing by still knocked down the barrier.

Recently, the commune discovered that a truck passing through broke a community bridge. The commune asked the owner of the truck to spend money to rebuild a new bridge for people to travel. Regarding the solution to prevent oversized and overloaded vehicles from running through the village road, the commune has repeatedly petitioned the district for support because the commune does not have the authority to stop cars. However, the inspection teams only came for a short time, and after that, the overloaded vehicles returned to operation.

People hope that the authorities will coordinate with the Trung Son commune government to quickly prevent the situation of oversized and overloaded vehicles that are damaging the roads every day, and restore peace to the people.
