Proposal to pay attention to raising allowances for police officers
(Baonghean.vn) - Director of the Department of Home Affairs Le Dinh Ly said that the allowance level for police officers compared to job requirements is still low and will continue to be surveyed and researched, and if conditions allow, it will be raised to suit the actual situation.
Continuing the second session of the 18th term Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, on the afternoon of August 12, the Provincial People's Council held a discussion in the hall.
Delegate Ta Thi Anh (Yen Thanh unit) expressed her opinion that the current policy for the regular police force has been clearly stated in Decree 42/2021 on regulations for building regular commune and town police.
"Regarding the part-time police force, the regulations stipulate an allowance of 1.3 times the basic salary for deputy commune police officers, but for police officers, the allowance is too low and there is no support policy. I propose that the Provincial People's Council have a policy to care for this force?", delegate Anh said.

Clarifying the issue raised by the British delegate, Mr. Le Dinh Ly - Director of the Department of Home Affairs said that the allowance regime for police officers is being implemented according to Resolution No. 22/20219 of the Provincial People's Council.
The resolution clearly stipulates that police officers are entitled to allowances in two groups. Group 1 includes hamlets with more than 350 households and complex security and order situations, and are entitled to 0.9 times the basic salary. Group 2 includes the remaining hamlets and are entitled to an allowance of 0.8 times the basic salary. This regulation is to ensure the correlation between equivalent positions.
