Going to sell scrap, stealing… people's motorbikes left on the side of the road

On March 24, 2023, Ky Son District Police received a report from Mr. LVB (born 2000), residing in Keng Du Commune (Ky Son) reporting the following content: On March 17, 2023, on the way to take his wife to Muong Xen town for a maternity check-up, when he reached Huoi Phuon 2 village, Keng Du commune, the motorbike's rear wheel broke down and he could not continue moving. In a hurry to be on time, Mr. B. left the motorbike on the side of the road, took out the key and locked the steering wheel. On March 24, 2023, Mr. Bich went to the above area to take the motorbike for repair and was shocked to discover that the motorbike had "disappeared".

Immediately after receiving the report, Ky Son District Police quickly took action, organized an investigation, verified and collected information. Synchronously deploying professional measures, Ky Son District Police identified the suspect.

Immediately after that, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police executed an emergency detention order against Ha Chi Cong (born in 1988), residing in Hamlet 10, Duc Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province. At the Police Agency, in front of documents and evidence, Ha Chi Cong confessed his actions. Accordingly, while collecting scrap in Keng Du Commune, the subject discovered a Sirius brand motorbike parked on the side of the road, so he had the intention of stealing the motorbike to sell for profit. At around 2:00 p.m. on March 20, 2023, Ha Chi Cong stole Mr. B's motorbike and used his motorbike to transport the stolen motorbike to sell to a motorbike repair shop owner in Dooc May Commune (Ky Son) for 1,300,000 VND.

Currently, Ky Son District Police are completing the dossier to handle the subject according to the provisions of law.
