The drowning accident occurred at 5:00 p.m. on April 15. The male student who tragically drowned was Dau Van Toan, a 12th grader at Do Luong 1 High School.
At that time, I and a group of 8 friends went to Ba Dao dam in Thong Nhat hamlet, Dong Son commune, Do Luong district to bathe and practice swimming.

While bathing with a group of friends, Toan's foot fell into a deep place. The group tried to save him but could not. Panicked because his friend was drowning, the group ran to a nearby house to call for help, but because the dam was wide, no one could find him to save him.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Dong Son Commune Military Command was present at Ba Dao Dam to search for Toan. By 7:20 p.m. the same day, there were over 20 people diving into the dam.
However, because it is too dark and the dam is too wide, the search is very difficult, people are having to use flashlights to illuminate the area./.
