Delegation of Nghe An province offers incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs in Ho Chi Minh City
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province offered flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery and Binh Duong Martyrs Cemetery.
Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council as head of the delegation.
The delegation included comrades: Le Duc Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Quoc Viet - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Also attending were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Home Affairs, and the Trung Loc Commune Party Committee.


In Binh Duong, the delegation visited and offered flowers and incense to pay tribute and commemorate at Binh Duong Martyrs Cemetery. This is the resting place of 45 heroic Vietnamese mothers and more than 5,400 martyrs. Of these, 170 martyrs were children of Nghe An who sacrificed their lives in the wars to liberate and protect the Fatherland.

In a solemn atmosphere, provincial leaders and delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense at the National Monument to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, heroic martyrs, and compatriots who sacrificed for national independence and reunification.


Continuing the heroic historical tradition of the nation, the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An province have been striving and contributing to building a sustainable, civilized and modern homeland.

After the incense offering ceremony, provincial leaders and delegates burned incense at the martyrs' graves at the cemetery.

Next, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province visited and offered flowers and incense to the heroic Vietnamese mothers and heroic martyrs at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery.


This is the resting place of more than 14,000 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance wars against foreign invaders, gaining independence, freedom for the Fatherland and unifying the country. Among them, there are 247 martyrs whose hometown is Nghe An who are resting here.

In the sacred atmosphere, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to express their deep remembrance, gratitude and honor to the beloved children across the country, as well as the children of Nghe An who heroically sacrificed their blood and bones for the cause of national liberation.



The delegation of Nghe An province also came to offer incense and commemorate martyr Phan Dang Luu - a revolutionary predecessor, a "typical revolutionary intellectual" of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution.

Comrade Phan Dang Luu was born on May 5, 1902, in a patriotic Confucian family in Dong village, Trang Thanh commune, now Yen Thanh commune, Nghe An province. With 39 years of age, 16 years of continuous revolutionary activities, including more than 7 years of imprisonment in imperialist prisons, comrade Phan Dang Luu devoted and sacrificed his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, together with the Central Executive Committee steering the revolutionary boat through difficult periods, especially the period 1936-1940.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented gifts to the Management Board of Binh Duong Martyrs' Cemetery and the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery.
