Receiving and burying the remains of martyr Nguyen Dinh Duong back to his homeland
On the afternoon of March 5, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Phuc Tho commune, Vinh city, together with the martyr's family, solemnly held a ceremony to receive and bury the remains of martyr Nguyen Dinh Duong at the commune's martyr cemetery. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province.
Martyr Nguyen Dinh Duong was born in 1951 in Hamlet 1, Phuc Tho Commune, Nghi Loc District (now Vinh City). In May 1971, comrade Nguyen Dinh Duong volunteered to join the army and fight against American imperialism.

During the Spring Campaign of 1975, he heroically sacrificed himself while attacking Dong Du base, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City with his comrades in unit C10 – D3 – E48 – F320 – QĐ3 on April 29; before the day of complete liberation of the South and national reunification.

His remains were gathered by his comrades and buried at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.

The ceremony to receive, pay respects to and bury the remains of martyr Nguyen Dinh Duong was held solemnly and respectfully in the deep gratitude of his family, Party committees, authorities at all levels and local people for his heroic sacrifice and contributions in the cause of protecting the Fatherland./.
