Traffic speed adjustment on Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard expected in November 2024
Currently, the Department of Transport is speeding up the completion of the remaining items on the Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard route, expected to be completed in November 2024, from which the permitted speed of vehicles traveling on the route will be adjusted.
Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard is the largest and most modern road in Nghe An province, officially opened to traffic at the end of August 2024. After 2 months of use, many people commented that the maximum allowed speed of 50km/h is quite low for such a large road, traffic jams still occur on weekends.

Nghe An Department of Transport said that although traffic has been allowed, this is a temporary operation phase so the speed of vehicles will be limited to ensure safety.
According to the original plan, by October 31, the construction unit will complete the items to adjust the speed more appropriately. However, according to the reporter's records, in early November 2024, the 50km/h limit signs are still in place.

Discussing this issue, a representative of the Project Management Board, Department of Transport said: According to the original plan, the items on Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard route would be completed by October 31, however, in fact, in October 2024, the weather was unfavorable, with heavy rain, affecting the construction progress, so some remaining safety items on the route such as installing signs, markers, road painting, completing the level crossing connecting people's lives... were delayed.
Currently, the Department of Transport is directing the concentration of vehicles and human resources to complete the items. Strive to complete the project in November 2024, from which the speed on the route can be adjusted accordingly according to regulations. In the immediate future, vehicles will still travel at a maximum speed of 50 km/h until further notice.
