Lottery line, transactions over 400 million VND/day in Hoang Mai Town
Hoang Mai Town Police have just presided over and coordinated with the Provincial Police's professional department to eradicate a gambling ring in the form of lottery tickets, with a transaction amount of 430 million VND/day, arresting and prosecuting 17 subjects.
Since the beginning of 2024, through professional measures, Hoang Mai Town Police have discovered a gambling ring in the form of recording lottery numbers with a large number of daily transactions. Through verification, the ringleader of this ring was identified as Nguyen Thi Oanh (born in 1983), residing in Village 6, Quynh Vinh Commune, Hoang Mai Town. Oanh has established a system of "henchmen" in many places in the area and only receives lottery tickets via Zalo, Facebook, and text messages.

This is an organized gambling ring, operating secretly, closely linked together, affecting security and order and causing resentment among the masses. Faced with that situation, Hoang Mai Town Police established a special project to focus on fighting and eliminating it.
After a period of fighting, verifying and synchronously using professional measures, at 8:00 p.m. on July 13, Hoang Mai Town Police presided over and coordinated with the Provincial Police's professional department to successfully break the case, simultaneously arresting Nguyen Thi Oanh and 16 other subjects.

At the scene, the authorities seized 24 mobile phones, 286 million VND in cash and many related books. During the investigation, it was initially proven that the amount of money the subjects used for gambling on July 13 was about 430 million VND. At the police station, Nguyen Thi Oanh and the subjects admitted their crimes.
After consolidating documents and evidence, on July 18, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoang Mai Town Police prosecuted 17 subjects for the act of "Gambling". Currently, the case is being further investigated and the related subjects are being hunted down.
