(Baonghean.vn) - For more than a week now, nearly 1,000 hectares of rice in Hung Nguyen district that are preparing to tiller have been facing a serious water shortage, even at risk of burning to death.
Up to this point, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lap in Ky hamlet, Hung Tay commune still cannot prune the 6 sao of AC5 rice that was sown nearly a month ago. “The land is dry and cracked, the rice is stunted, the leaves are all yellow. Every day I go to the field, hoping for water to come back to prune and fertilize the rice to help it tiller, but it is hopeless. At this rate, in just a few more days the rice will dry up and die,” Ms. Lap said.
