Ha Tinh records 2 Covid-19 positive patients after many days returning home

On the afternoon of May 5, the Center for Disease Control of Ha Tinh province recorded 2 positive cases of Covid-19. These 2 cases reside in Viet Tien commune and Tuong Son commune, Thach Ha district.

Regarding the case residing in Viet Tien commune, on April 13, this person returned to Vietnam from Dubai and entered the country at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

During the quarantine, she was tested three times and all results were negative for Covid-19. On April 30, she finished quarantine and on the morning of May 1, she took a bus back to Ha Tinh. On May 4, the health agency took a sample and the results later showed she was positive for Covid-19.
As for the case in Tuong Son commune, who returned from Cambodia on March 25, the test results showed that he was positive for COVID-19 and was quarantined and treated in Tay Ninh. On April 25, after 3 negative results, this person left the hospital and went to Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang to play before returning to his hometown in Ha Tinh on April 28.

Immediately after receiving this information, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Ha Tinh province held an urgent meeting. The leaders of Ha Tinh province requested the authorities to set up checkpoints and cordon off areas in Viet Yen village, Viet Tien commune and Sam Loc village, Tuong Son commune; Assign forces to be on duty 24/7 at the blockade points. Conduct an investigation into the contact history of F1 and F2 cases. Urgently investigate people traveling on the same flight and car during the movement of patients and F1 and F2 cases; Spray disinfectant immediately at night to determine the areas that must be blockaded. Take samples of 100% of people in the blockade area and surrounding areas depending on the contact subjects. Immediately ban karaoke, massage, beauty services, and street vendors in Ha Tinh city and Thach Ha district at night...

On the afternoon of May 5, the Ministry of Health recorded 14 cases of infection at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, 4 cases of community infection in provinces and cities, and 8 cases of entry that were quarantined immediately.

A total of 26 new patients were recorded from number 2997-3022, including 8 imported cases in Long An, Tay Ninh, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City each with 1 case, Soc Trang and Da Nang each with 2 cases. 18 domestic cases in Quang Nam, Hanoi, Dong Nai, Hai Duong each with 2 cases, Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases with 14 cases.
