Couple returns 200 million VND found to the person who lost it
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 31, Captain Nguyen Cong Tai - Deputy Chief of Thanh Giang Commune Police, Thanh Chuong District, said that he had just coordinated to verify and return 200 million VND that a citizen of the commune had picked up to the person who lost it.
At around 2:00 p.m. on August 31, on their way to the fields to deliver rice to the villagers, Ms. Hoang Thi Xuan (born in 1978) and Mr. Le Khac Ngoc (born in 1968, Ms. Xuan's husband) discovered a large plastic bag on the road. Upon inspection, the bag contained a lot of cash and documents bearing the name of Nguyen Van Binh, residing in Thanh Mai commune, Thanh Chuong district.
At this time, Mr. Binh discovered that the money was missing and was looking for it. However, because he was panicking, Mr. Binh could not remember exactly how much money he had in his pocket. Knowing that Mr. Binh was looking for the lost money, Mr. Ngoc and his wife invited Mr. Binh to Thanh Giang Commune Police to coordinate the verification.
After verifying that Mr. Binh was the owner of the money, Mr. Ngoc and his wife returned it in the presence of the authorities and Thanh Giang Commune Police.

Mr. Binh said that the 200 million VND was sent back by his son who is working abroad many times. On the afternoon of August 31, he took it to the bank to deposit but it was lost. Mr. Binh sent his thanks to Mr. Ngoc and his wife, the authorities and Thanh Giang Commune Police for returning all the money he lost.
Captain Nguyen Cong Tai said that the Commune Police will promote the act of picking up lost property and returning it to its owner by Mr. Le Khac Ngoc and Mrs. Hoang Thi Xuan on the commune police's radio system and social networking sites to further spread this good deed.
“200 million VND is a large amount of property of Mr. Binh's family, so anyone in the same situation as my wife and I would find the owner to return it,” said Mr. Le Khac Ngoc.
